Evening Lonely

Warm is the setting sun
Each evening held within a memory
If a wish were a promise to keep
The loneliness would have nothing left to say

Faith belongs to fools who daydream
Lost in the hope for tomorrow
Spring has come long after the thoughts and feelings
Years have passed, why think her name

A lonely man will never show he suffers
He will smile and lend a hand
Though he is lost and slightly broken
He will always be a loyal friend

Once more love has changed without a reason
Aging, weary; Beyond the nevermore
Time has taken away feeling empty
One last prayer; Then close the door

Evening Lonely
