Eternal Conviction Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Eternal Conviction

Morn has brought replication with ever changing haste
Laying waste to our youth with a cruel vengeance
As we ponder the change in our refection
We see a face that gives no calculation or recognition

Blame do us all a fugitive concealed
Only seen by the changes in life
Though denied must be accepted to be real

Hidden truths are christened in sacred publication
Passed on by priests in exchange for, collected alms
The payment due for their deserved veneration

Our fates were decided by a wager made long before creation
In a gamble we would convey the execution of sin
When confronted with temptation

Unjust punishment for anticipated transgressions
Forever forced to love those in charge
Or be faced with eternal, God damnation
