Exactly Zero "How Dare You's" Poem by Raj Dronamraju

Exactly Zero "How Dare You's"

Just like a drug dealer dipping into their own product
And losing perspective and losing their way
You binge drink on your own self-importance which you mistake for suffering
Giving undeserved praise to undistinguished grays

Blame misassigned due to braggadocio and ego
And tropical vacations paid for by other people
Hypocrisy handrail is slippery to the touch
Get behind me and without computer graphics we will prevail

Exaggeration strong arms data but no one chooses to be the wiser
Private plane Kafkas is its own luxurious irony
Prevail and identify the leader, the backer, the architect of words and events

Universal love is a national holiday fireworks show
Who is going to clean up the refuse the next day?
The litter on the field, empty plastic cups and food wrappers

Handicapped anger seethes but they get lost on the way to the demonstration
Took the wrong turn and now yell at a blank wall
"How dare you….brick? "
"You have stolen my…. cement? "
