Expectant Promise Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Expectant Promise

Like a beacon in life, faith lights my path,
helping me to see the rocks sometimes, if I
keep focused on where I'm going.
Avoiding all pitfalls, sorrow, pain of life,
is an impossibility, yet I hope to do just
that at times.
A prayer on my lips, a gentle warmth within,
a gathering of mysteries close to my mind,
an expectant promise to unfold and be spread
throughout the world.
