Expressing Death Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Expressing Death

Pulling curtains of death wide open, expressing all
formalities of death, leaving nothing to the mind.

Taking everything we've learned and experienced here
on this earth, hoping to find explanations.

Opening the doors wide, leading us into another hori-
zon, standing on shores of our final destiny.

Leaving us alone, no one to show us the way, having
nothing left of what we once had in life.

WOW! Some poems have the power to, lift the veil that separates us from the next stage of life. It's uncanny how you expressed this in simple, common words. And you are not trying to impress the reader with your special knowledge. You are holding out a hand to guide the reader even though you feel the need for a guide too.
