Extinct New York City Poem by michael Smajda

Extinct New York City

I'll never see New York City again
As it once was a short time ago
With flashing Broadway theatre lights,
People and traffic hustling to and fro,
Stores and restaurants welcoming
Locals, tourists of all imaginable kinds
Now, closing their doors, one by one,
Due to few inept political indifferent minds.
