Eye Contact - Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar
There is 'something' about you,
That I find different.
Something so different,
I can not quite put my finger on it.
You are not texting! ?
And your eyes...
I've never noticed them like this before.
You've got them focused.
I can not believe this.
You are actually looking into my eyes.
What are you going to call it?
'It is called...
Eye contact! '
I remember it now.
Is it painful?
How long do you believe you can do it?
'Why are you being so sarcastic?
I am charging my cellphone.'
This is amazing.
I had no idea you knew how to do it.
Do it again.
I want to remember it.
