Grey Clayton

Eye Dream - Poem by Grey Clayton

Looking back in my head
turns black to green
Bright lights to red
Colorless shapes drift
Thoughts float upstream
The canals in my bed

I'm a tangerine
An egg frying in the sun's heat
Fresh snow on a driveway
A woman's tit
A Doe in a grocery shop
Staring down an endless beach

A different eye in a different head
Open mine to be myself again
