Facing The Dragons We Would Always Be

facing the dragons we would always be

a little lacking in chivalry

but one must discern from the things one learns

I heard them say between the lines

in memoirs of the finest kind

the knights of glass hills and the next in line

perhaps to be kings when the midnight chimes

on all the barrows that we could see

in a vision meant for you or me

that no one else will ever believe

as much as the world counts on sheer greed

yet there were knights and they were true

is more than fiction

I promise you.
