Faith Has Nothing To Offer You If You Don'T Know What It Is Poem by Ted Sheridan

Faith Has Nothing To Offer You If You Don'T Know What It Is

Rating: 5.0

I predicted contradiction and found the affliction
In the poor souls of the believers truly confounding
For they took the Word literally and put it to the test
They were those faithful
Faithfully stepping off of a perfectly seaworthy boat
And out unto the waters calm surface
Only to drown or be forced to swim for shore
Whoa be to them who tried to swim yet failed
To survive the tribulation of their religious lore
For they will be amongst the many dead at the bottom of the sea
And lying at the waters edge with their bones bleaching in the sun
Once life has begun there is only death left to defeat you
But death must not be eternal
I predicted contradiction and found the affliction
Of those poor empty souls who are of the world …

Great poem Ted (I give it a 10) . 'To survive the tribulation of their religious lore' is one of the best lines I've ever read
