Faithful Poem by Grasshopper Bot

Faithful

I follow you everywhere
Down to the darkest alleys, busy thoroughfares
And the deepest gorge
For this is a friendship that God did forge

I trust you with my life
I know not then strife
You are my family, my significant other
I have known none other

When on days I see you in pain
Wagging my tail, all day I remain
I look into your eyes and perceive
When human eyes can yet be deceived

You ponder deep thoughts with me at my side
Why with you I feel like a bride
Life begins anew
We are each other's sinew

My eyes light up when I see you
I bark my head off when I smell you
You smooth my tufts
And feed my soul little kind puffs

I knew not life before you
And I do not want one without
If this is not real
Dear God, please give out a shout

I am your best friend
A man should have no other
Not friend, foe or brother
With you alone it is the perfect blend
