Fallen Angel Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Fallen Angel

Satan, brooding fallen angel, once beloved of Heaven
God's supreme angel who rebelled against him
Wanting to be ruler over all creation and be glorified
Worshipped by angels and the faith eternally
Cruel and cunning, the wicked Prince of fiery Hell
Holding sway, ever tempting with greed and selfishness
Waiting patiently for the sinner's fall from grace.
Pretending love and compassion while offering pleasures
That isolate and corrupt and are ruinous for the soul
Weakening flesh and spirit and denying God's love
With no mercy nor forgiveness, nor place in Heaven.
Satan richly rewards mortal sins to people his domain
Contemptuously claiming fallen souls, one by one
Forever to burn lost among dancing flames of Hell.
