Fallen Angel Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Fallen Angel

Rating: 4.5

Taking the hem
of your dress

gently in such
delicate fingertips

each a beautiful little fish
swimming amongst the seaweed of white tassels

you
raise it

slowly by degrees

to reveal
the beauty of your nakedness

its preciousness

your body
smiling at me
as if it were

a blessing

and I(a tortured
soul)

being forgiven

despite
my unworthiness

allowed
into heaven.

What a beautiful thing you fashion out of the simple act of taking off a dress. I like the world seen through your eyes. I was expecting the woman to be the 'fallen angel' and was charmed to see that it was you being allowed into the heaven of a woman's love. Love the point of veiw! Love her painted fingernails turning into little fishes swimming amongst the seaweed and coral of white tassles. Such a divine image for such an oridinary little thing. How many times I have taken off my dress in this manner and never given it a second thought. Now I think I will think about it as you do anytime I do! See what you have done to me? Oh yes...I love the idea of the body smiling with its nakedness and that that nakedness is seen as a blessing. Ok...ok...I've nearly gone through the whole darn thing! Suffice it to say I love the whole darn thing. It's so...beautiful! love Dee DeeXXX
