Falling Love Poem by Kevin Patrick

Falling Love

Rating: 5.0

nights are moving in as the sun is working
Part time
And Leafs are graduating onto earth's private domain
Summers in the attic and winters knocking at the door
Autumn's in the kitchen, cooking up a chilli bill
And the air is being seasoned, with crisp October hues

The world's a patient fire of orange red and gold
Simmering with incense and sweet rotten afterglow
Of memories wrapped in sweaters of the warmth of childhood
Where time sits in recess as the year standing still

There is no other season that my heart falls in love with.

A vividly colourful tribute to a season that has the best of all worlds: the subtle warmth and colourful life of spring and Indian Summer. Jack Kerouac's favourite time of the year.

Sterling imagery! Season of autumn is a favourite with a lot of us but after this brilliant description of the autumn, I am inspired and elated more by the autumn. Full marks!
