Falling Star Poem by K J

Falling Star

To the world I am like a falling star,
That unto mother earth I am drawn,
Falling through the emptiness of space,
Into the arms of the earth I fall,
Inquisitive that I am,
She calls me forth,
I persist for a bit, yet I fall,
I burn as I draw closer to her,
Yet she beckons me with open arms,
The earth she calls me,
People on earth doth see me,
Wish upon me to change their luck,
Little to they realise, that I am but,
Nothing but a falling star,
Inquisitive to explore the earth,
Which amazes me so much,
That I fall from grace into her arms,
My inquisitiveness draws me neigh,
Confounded in her fury I may burn,
People may find me attractive,
People may think I am good luck,
I am neither, I am just a falling star,
Inquisitive about earth,
After the emptiness of space,
I fall, I fall, I want to fall,
For my inquisitiveness has got the better of me.
