False Growth Poem by Casey Stewart

False Growth

Am I growing?
Do I learn at all?
These mistakes keep happening
I am a fool to think
That maybe I’m better
I will never change, just create
Illusions that I have
Please join me, for the end of my sanity
Watch my growth,
Or decay as some might call it
Watch my tongue
As it spits acid on your dreams
Watch my smile turn
So quickly, into a frown
This is not growth
This is a slow death
This is the suicide of reason
The end of hope
This is all wrong,
Not growth, a lie
