Fame Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

Fame

Rating: 5.0

Recognition is not essential:
watch the tiny lovely flowers
blooming on the grass
who beholds them...
rather one stamps them on one's feet
while walking
is it because human beings endowed with mind
so one needs recognition?
the other way also possible..
let mind be blessed with wisdom
so that not an iota of pride
comes to mind when appreciated
recognition is like fame
a silent phenomenon
may come after death also;
hence it's not wise
to claim recognition
and invite depression
if nobody likes
the execution of 'karma'
along with feeling of satisfaction
can counteract non-recognition
let recognition come in the natural course
it's not essential
and one is not sent to this world
for getting recognition
work stands supreme.
