Fame And Fortune -I Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Fame And Fortune -I

Rating: 5.0

Waxing, waning Moon if shows same hue,
Both phrases if same lustre accrue,
Why one's called the bright phase,
Why fate smile in strange ways?
Alas, fame favours fortunate few.

As per Hindu calendar, the waxing moon is called shukla or suda (bright phase) , and waning moon, Krishna or vada (dark phase) . But actually the two are equally bright or dark.
