Fancies Of A Favela - Poem by Lawarga Itirka

A wish is the rumbling of a restless mind,
A storm of a sort, an echo of a kind…

Of desires not heeded or fulfilled,
Of promises made, of necessities stilled…

For sometimes there maybe other vital issues,
For occasionally needs are best left wrapped in tissues…

To be opened at leisure on some further date,
To be cherished with passion, to be left to fate…

They weather these tempests with a hope, with valor,
They endure the squall with courage so stellar…

If a wonder of any kind would ever cross their way,
If they may ever get the chance, of having their to say…
