Fantasize Poem by David Harris

Fantasize

We fantasize in our daydreams
the way we want things to be
wishing all the time
our fantasy will come true.
We find so much comfort
in our fantasy dream word
than we do in our reality
that we hope that one day
we can step out of this world
and step into that.
Saying to ourselves that it would be better
than the world we have,
but just suppose we did that.
Are we sure, it is what we really want?
No one will ever know,
as it is just our fantasy.
The one we fantasize about
when things get us down.
In our daydreams from time to time.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

The poem is rightfully written with great respect for reality and yet we stand in awe for the most amazing capacity of this marvelous mind, humans were endowed with. Fantasy, imagination, intuition, ...all these wonderful things that let us kneed reality in something very real to our very own soul. What is real to our own soul, may not be real for other souls. I think reality is a very relative term. Only thing, I am pretty sure about is that reality is very different from what the media try to portray as reality. This poem is really (in realtiy :)) thought provoking. Good work.
