Fantasy Life Poem by Sarah Child

Fantasy Life

Rating: 5.0

Dark circles under my eyes
Amplified by my porcelain skin
My arms wrapped around my knees
Slowly I rock myself back and forth
Back…and…forth.

I don’t see what is there
I only see where I want to be
An imaginary world
Only I can see playing out before my eyes
My own personal fantasy.

My slender, muscular figure
Snowy white hair
Sky blue eyes that pierce the soul
Changing to red with the eventide
My power sending the demons running.

A forbidden life
Shunned from everyday society
Living in solitude
Watching my fantasy play out
In a mirror before my eyes.
