Far From Home Poem by Sarah Child

Far From Home

Rating: 5.0

I’m stuck in this unfamiliar place,
With all these unfamiliar people,
Another day in this foreign land,
And I’m sure to go mad.

The stars, the trees, even the air,
All seem to speak a different language,
Nothing makes sense, up is down and left is right,
Perhaps…I am already mad.

It’s because of you,
That I can never return,
It’s because of you,
I am far from home.

I gave you my heart,
And you broke it into a million pieces,
Scattering them across the cosmos,
Forever blowing in the celestial winds.

It’s because of you,
I can’t find my way home,
It’s because of you,
I am far from home.
