Far Too Many Midnights Poem by Gert Strydom

Far Too Many Midnights

Far too many midnights I have know
that I have been on my own
and from the time that you have gone,
I have been the lonely one.

Yet there is some security in this
although this kind of life is without bliss,
and at times I crave for you,
for something to brake the emptiness.
