Fast Car Poem by Ima Ryma

Fast Car

Rating: 5.0

Always in a hurry be they,
Always driving on some impulse
To get to or to get away,
With sometimes not desired results.
For some reason they think fast speed
Is gonna solve woe on their mind,
That getaway is all they need
To leave all their troubles behind.
Of course they never ask me for
My opinion on how things are.
Just push my pedal to the floor,
And off they go in this fast car.

But I took a turn for the worse,
And this fast car became a hearse.

Great reversal of thought at the end. Good work.
