Fathers' Day Poem by hassan hayati

Fathers' Day

It is the Fathers' day and my father has no dad
He is sad
Sure, he is missing granny, and wants his hand
He can not hide this sorrow, and, he is sad
His sweet smile on his strong face, has no sugar today
Yes he smiles, but it is all a pretension like a play
He is not a real glad, he is sad
Searching in the pages of his life
Reviewing the memories, good and maybe bad
He is sad
Dad has a great soul, like a seagull in a blue sky
But he closed his wings today and no fly
He is sad
I know he watches the other things, not what we see now
Maybe the days he made his dad mad, he is sad
Papa had been the good boy
But some days he might have been bad, and now he is sad
I hug my father and say
This is the rule of life my dearest dad, please don't be sad
He smiles and tries to show he is fine
Dad is the rescue island in the stormy days of mine
We can rely on them, like a butterfly on a lily pad
Hope they are never sad
Let's make them happy before it is too late
They deserve happiness and smile
Let's see them glad, hope they are never sad

Fathers' Day
