Fear Poem by Dorsey Baker

Fear

its so silent!
and now you realize
that you are here all alone
imprisoned by the darkness
your body starts to tremble
a monsterwho eats flesh and blood
peeping into your window
showing his dark eyes
and sharp teeth
you want to scream
but your tongue refuses to move!
your throat is tight!
your belly is flooded with
its digestive drama!
you try to calm down
but your pounding heart
won't let you!
you'll be wide awake until morning
because you just cannot
fall asleep!
