February, The Sea, Bluejay (3 Poems) Poem by Ben Gieske

February, The Sea, Bluejay (3 Poems)

Rating: 2.9

FEBRUARY

unwelcomed in a way
towards darkness it does sway
unwilling to prolong its stay

THE SEA

it spits it all out with disdain
then hurls a rolling cry of pain
reaching for it back without shame

- May 16,2008

BLUE JAY

with his partlet of blue
with crested head he flew
behind him some quietude

- May 17,2008

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I was much impresed by this trio. The presentation was the kind of presentation which I wish were always made in such short verses. I gave it a 9, but that was only because of the problem in the third verse. Wonderful! Wonderful! GW 62
