The poor and the low paid
Have always been afraid
Of the cost of Christmas cheer
Which goes up year after year
For the feeling this brings
Will not make them want to sing
Instead at this wonderful and joyous time
They worry and hope all will be fine.
The apprehensions of the poor about their inability to celebrate even Christmas with traditional decoration and pomp beautifully portrayed. Thanks for sharing a thought provoking write.
