Feet Of Gold Poem by john (called jack) wren

Feet Of Gold

Sweet sojourner of the darkened sky
Whose brilliance lights the fold
I've loved thee since I was a boy.
Searching for your feet of gold.

Spanning the Fleet with arrogant ease
From Cally Mains to Cardoness,
With coloured mist down to your knees
You are a picture of pure pleasantness.

Please stay forever with this gift
Stay as a good friend would,
May your radiance shine eternal
In the heavenly brotherhood.

Oh, how I mourn when you depart
For my eyes are empty and bare,
I feel I have lost a dear sweetheart
And my heart is filled with despair.

Thoughts about a rainbow
Shining on a November morn
