First there was Miwiru
It's unknown his father
Miwiru sired Sigoma,
Sigoma begets Owiny

Kisodhi from Owiny's loins
Sired Ogelo, Otondi from Ogelo
Obongo from Okoth, next came Opiyo
These are my clans, A Luo begets a Luo

Customs be revered says our fathers
In our lineage narration, Father's name be used
Alas I bemoan, the woman who bore us
Their names forgotten like they never came

Traditions for reasons I dropped
Onyango through Akumu
Begot Obama I put,
And the vultures came.

Save me from my folks claws
Borrow me reason's glasses
'nd let them see the 'fe' in 'MALE'
If not enough..the 'wo' in MAN
