Field~ Poem by Juliauna (J.jay) Maddux

Field~

The grasses were blown into motion.
The stars seemed to burst out of explosion.
Branches and leaves made something like a llullabye.
So calm and relaxed, but i was alone under the sky.

I wished that you were there at that moment
To hold me and save me from torment
To cuddle me and keep me warm
And as we lay, perfection our bodies would form

But i wake up to sunrise and dew
Thinking i was dreaming, this cant be true
I roll up your stuff and leave you a letter
Although seeing you would be so much better

Again the grasses are blown into motion
Now the sun is the explosion
There is no lullabye, only goodbye
Goodbye to the field where me and my lover lie.

From my eye a tear begins to roll
because of this day, i pay a toll
I wanted him until the very end
Now its possible i will never see him again

As i walk, more tears follow
As i walk, my heart is drounded by sorrow
I am about to leave a place i cherish so dear
Into a world of only fear

this field was made for us
For me, and the only one i trust
Just when i am about to walk away from all
I turn around to your loud beautiful call.
