Fifteen Boxes Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Fifteen Boxes

Fifteen Boxes have I
To empty and put away,
Just another Fifteen Boxes,
Shall I leave them for another day?

I'm slowly getting there,
"Where's that? " ~ I hear you say,
To a clear and clutter-free flat,
It'll be that ~ soon ~ one day.

I moved here four weeks ago,
No furniture had I then,
The flat-packs are now assembled,
But ‘at ease' ~ will I be ~ when?

When will it all be ‘ship-shape'?
Will I get back my ‘peace-of-mind'?
The Residents here are friendly,
But older ~ and ~ all kind.

I'm now in Sheltered Accommodation,
In a One-bedroom flat,
In times of illness, I'll have ‘peace-of-mind',
Now ~ I can be sure of that.
