Figure In The Dark... Poem by Sebastian Melmoth

Figure In The Dark...

Powder of emotions exploding a fog of colours spreads high in feelings air
Reclusive monster hugging the shadows as if a comfort blanket or dear friend
Lonely conversations in a despondent head trying to make sense of the storm
Every chime of the clock makes you shudder with hurt, dread, and woe
Life lines made of paper in arms reach but not strong enough to hold these boulders of fear
Standing alone at the foot of Isolation's mountain wondering if you will make it to happiness peak
A figure in the darkness shines a light of guidance finally the spark of hope you needed
Drawn reluctantly towards support to trustfully off load burdens weight
Warmth of hope builds the gradual confidence and trust in the figure in the dark like a guardian angel
Quacking at the thought of ending up in rejections lake, shivering in anticipation that the figure in the dark will real and isn't fake.
