Filipino Diaspora Poem by Edgar Eslit

Filipino Diaspora

Rating: 1.0

Pilipino diaspora, brave and strong,
You leave your home and loved ones, and travel far and long.
Your blood and life are the driving force that propels you forward,
In search of better opportunities, with hope as your reward.

You survive your country and family because of the sweat,
Blood and life that you offer, with no regret.
You leave behind your families, your friends, and your homes,
In pursuit of a better life, wherever your journey roams.

You work in factories, fields, and on foreign shores,
Enduring hardships and challenges, that few can endure.
Despite the risks and obstacles you face,
You press on with unwavering strength and courage, in any place.

Your sacrifices are immeasurable, and your unwavering dedication,
To your families and your nation, is an inspiration to every generation.
You are nurses, caregivers, domestic helpers, and more,
Working tirelessly, with passion and vigor to the core.

You face discrimination, isolation, and sometimes abuse,
But your spirit remains unbroken, you never refuse.
You hold your head high, and persevere with grace,
And your resilience is an inspiration, to every race.

You bring hope to your families, and your nation too,
And your contributions to the world, are significant and true.
You represent the best of our people, our culture, and our land,
And we are proud of you, wherever you may stand.

So let us honor you, Pilipino diaspora, today,
And recognize the countless service you sow, in every possible way.
Your blood and life are the precious gifts you bestow,
And we thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for all that you show.
