Filling A Void

I need to ride the beat in your heart
Otherwise mine will be torn apart
Beating for you
I wish i knew
Should i do on the beat
Perhaps at the count of three
Or, begin wherever it fits
Off beat

Failing which
I'll make a switch
To a taboo
Do a tattoo
to my heart's choice
filling a void
