Final Curtain Poem by Phil Soar

Final Curtain

The final curtain came down
And now you're gone and I'm alone
Visits no longer looking forward to
Sitting by the fire drinking hearty soups
Warming the feet by the hearth
Warming the heart with your smiles
Seeing the stars through the lead lined windows
Watching the trees sway in the breeze
Waiting for dreams to please me in sleep
And seeking solace among the quietness
The curtain fell, and so did my heart

Not personal, just for those of you who have lost someone - Phil Soar
