Final Rest. Poem by Gangadharan nair Pulingat..

Final Rest.

Rating: 5.0

Final rest, humans exclaim!
Final resting place most important
Six feet of land it requires
But six feet of land sometimes missing.

Humans entitled a decent cremation
The resting place he entitled
In whatever circumstances can't be denied
A final journey in such calmness.

The vastness of sky we understand
But vastness of earth in personal terms
Always a point of controversy
Where highest walls and barbed wires
Obstructs the vastness, for a human being.

To have six feet of land to rest finally is every man's need.... In crammed places, it is not possible for everyone to have a personal space. In such situations at least there should be some parallel facilities for a man to have an honourable final departure! A thoughtful write!

This is the fact spelt out here as people are too materialistic to spare a small piece of land for the decent burial of holy human body.......nicely presented........thanks for sharing
