Finding A Religion To Follow Poem by Mark Heathcote

Finding A Religion To Follow

Rating: 5.0

Finding a religion to follow
Is like trying on a new shoe
That doesn't allow for airflow
None are made to measure you
And finding none of them, really fit
Is a little bit disconcerting
So it's difficult to commit
Some are too snug, constricting
If I had to make one choice
My first choice would be to go barefoot
If I had to choose the second shoe
Guess it would have to be Hindu
As like walking
It is just as way of life
Dualism may be, seen in pairs
Here it's only our feet that are jackknife.
