Finding My Soulmate Poem by Randy McClave

Finding My Soulmate

Lord, when will I find my soulmate
I'm impatient and I just can't wait,
I have looked and looked for many countless years
And all that I found was betrayal and tears.
I now have decided to leave it up to you and your will
As you alone can bring fourth peace and heal,
I am so excited for these new plans
So, I will put the searching into your understanding hands.
Without you I have searched both near and far
By shoes, and planes, and car,
I thought that I had found my mate times before
But, then I found out they were a mistake to the core.
I want a woman so caring and good and true
One who wants to someday say, "I do",
I want a woman who is also trustful and loyal
Whom someday I can call my queen royal.
As you know Lord I have been used and tricked and burnt
And how I truly wished that I weren't,
But, finally I have learned from my needs and a mistake
Why I never did dine from my own wedding cake.
I truly want a soulmate for my lifetime
And for her any river I would swim, any mountain I would climb,
Lord, as you know I have traveled so many countries and lands
Now, I put the searching into your two mighty hands.
