Fire In Your Eyes Poem by Cynthia Aluning

Fire In Your Eyes

Rating: 5.0

I remember...

It was September, the first time I saw you
You took my breath away and was captivated too
A photograph of yours connected me to you
Loving you even to this day is true

At first...

There were flames burning furiously into your eyes
Waging war on me against indifferences and lies
But your soul could still kiss through the eyes that gaze
There was love's passion sleeping upon the blanket of hate

Be calm wild eyes...

As long as the water flows, this fantasy wishes
My love lights fire fiercer than hate extinguishes
Let my wind surround you for I am a storm to tame you
There is no escape as this earth forever bows to you

Be patient bright eyes...

Love isn't always an easy road to traverse
For distance is a dagger for the hearts of two lovers
Flame never dies as commitment never ends
For at the foot of this noble quest, sooner, forever, I'll be yours!

In the fire of your eyes...

There's such an intense desire I couldn't hide
Even water could not quench the fire deep inside
Like charred red hot embers that burn so endlessly
As this undeniable passion will fly us heavenly

Looking through your eyes...

I can see beauty just by the smile on your face
I can sense virtue just by the words we compare
I can feel passion just when I look through your soul
I am on top of the world when I see through your heart

I love you, Honey...

Always remember that through the turmoil love may bring
You are the fire that burns the passion from within
For my eyes could not see what my heart have seen
In this world, you're just one person...
But in this person, you are her world!
