First Love Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

First Love

A young girl sitting before
With the bobbed hair hanging over
The bust
And the bangles over the wrists,
Dressed in red skirt and pyjamas
With the pen into the lips
And a diary on the thighs
She thinking about
The first proposal in love,
Her first love-affair,
Thinking about,
What it to do with,
How to tend off the love-letter?

Now feel you
How restless is she
In feeling in love with him,
After failing in love
A teenaged girl she
Quite unknown on
The paths of life and the world,
How disturbed is she
With what to do and what not?

How the portrait of hers,
How the coat of paints over,
The romantic andaz,
How tuned the tone of hers,
The colourful graphics presenting her
And her love at first sight,
Her first-time love-affair
So full of fear and suspense?
