First Lover Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

First Lover

When young, free and easy
Sweetly innocent
Walking golden fields of wheat
Dreamt of what love would be.

She, was my first lover
We kissed, made love
Vowing never to part
Thrilled with joy of each other.

She married another lover
My lovers came and went
Heart still yearning
For my first lover, never forgot.
