Fix Them Poem by Asit Kumar Sanyal

Fix Them

Rating: 5.0

This girl did'nt request her parents
to bring her in the world
But she came
to break the stone
who is responsible for her birth?
her parents
She is the product
Of their sexual entertainment.

Not only she
lacs of children taking birth this way
everyday
Poor have no capacity
to raise their children properly
Yet they produce many
for free sexual entertainment
Steal their childhood
Make them child labourer
one poor creates many poor.

Poor people are the vote bank
of political parties
They say
Nation should provide them
Food, shelter, education and security
by tax payers money
but it's wrong
Nation should punish the people
for producing more than two children
and compel them
to use condome and pills
in their everyday sex
If they don't listen
Fix them
block their productive system
by force.

Wow! Very vivid and intense poem! Instead of disrespecting the poor, taking away their dignity, why not give them jobs, help them to become self sufficient so they can take care of their families? Find intelligent ways of educating them, why does denigration always seem to be the first solution in minds of those who look down upon people living in poverty. Your poem brought all types of ideas to mind, very thought provoking! I like to think outside the box, how come there is still poverty in our world? What has anyone really done to do away with it? Only give a few things to salve their conscience, make sure they barely exist in life and cannot take care of their own children. No one has ever given a real solution to end poverty. The poor need a step up not a hand out, that will never cure the problem. Really great poem, thank you for sharing your thoughts! 10+++++++++ RoseAnn
