Flattery Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Flattery

It really does not matter,
Who chooses tricks to pick.
With a smooth strategy,
Undetected that is slick.
Since flattery to lavish it,
Is easier to use to turn people into fools.
And tricked, tricked, tricked,
By those wicked who are slick.
Knowing flattery to lavish,
Will return them benefits.

Flattery to get it lavished,
Leaves some craving until crazed.
They need to keep their egos boosted.
And...
They think of others as fools to be used.
Watch out!
For those crazed.
Watch out!
For egos boosted.
Watch out!
For those needing flattery.
And seeking praise.

It doesn't matter,
Who chooses tricks picked.
With a strategy to get what they wish.
Just watch out!
For those craving their egos to be flattered.
Watch out!
For those living to be used as tools.
No matter who they are.
Or where they sit,
Sickened by...
Flattery to get.
And tricked until they disregard,
Lives of others they betray...
To protect their own self interests.
