Fleet Of Foot And On The Run Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Fleet Of Foot And On The Run

A social etiquette,
To select others to repress...
Will someday stop the paying of dividends,
To those who have taken steps...
To make sure those kept oppressed,
Will never see them doubting...
Their own credibility,
Which has enabled them to debit on false claims.
And...
With unashamed requests to borrow overwhelming funds,
To protect the cost of keeping their fears,
Undetected and hypocritical...
While 'still' keeping fleet of foot and on the run.
