Fleeting Dreams Poem by Oindrila Kar

Fleeting Dreams

Rating: 5.0

The gentle hands of a blissful nap
Run their fingers through my mind
I fall through fast
A thousand feet, then a numbing gap!
I see the threads within my tired brain
Lying in a tangled mess
I swim around, a happy fish,
No more crying in distress
No more theatre, no more lies…
I belong to the open skies…
Enough of hiding behind masks!
Oh wake me not from this wondrous trance
Pull me not, to worldly tasks…
Do not remind me of that waiting chore…
I am swimming, let me swim some more!

Beautiful rendition of words nicely encapsulated with insight. A lovely rhetorical poem. Thanks for sharing Kar.
