Fllods And Corruption Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Fllods And Corruption

The heavy downpour
inundated Chennai city.
The floods swept off
the unwary along the banks
of the winding river.
Some of them dared
to swim across and escaped
the noose of fate hurled
around their necks.

But people across the State
struggle to breathe
in the engulfed
floods of corruption.
The cheats assure jobs
and rob the pockets of the poor.
God alone can put an end
to this cankering Virus.
