Flowers Don't Matter

If love was of the essence,
Then flowers would not matter
Because I need
Respect and dignity from you.
I believed in you
And you took me for granted.
I loved you
And you gave me flowers
But you didn't give me
Respect and dignity.
For all the good
Reasons
Love cannot thrive
Without respect and dignity.
