Footsteps In The Snow Poem by Charlotte Rains

Footsteps In The Snow

Rating: 5.0

~ FOOTSTEPS IN THE SNOW ~

They were big much bigger than mine
deep and wide many years ago
I tagged behind with little boy feet
following his footsteps in the snow
He said one day I'd fill them up
I'd grow to be a tall young man
He'd hoist me up into his arms
with one swoop of his big right hand
I miss the cold and I miss the warmth
I miss the wishing that I would grow
But what I miss most of all......
is Grandpa's footsteps in the snow

You have a talented pen for conveying nostalgia- that yearning in all of us to relive the best moments of our lives when we were young and innocent. Very well written, my friend.

Deep and wide footsteps left on snow are really amazing memories. Missing most of all Grandpa's footsteps in the snow is really so sad. Whatever may be, memories shine with time...10
