For Grace. Poem by Cecilia Parkin

For Grace.

Rating: 5.0

Oh God give us grace
To realise
We all see you with different eyes.

Our source of life
And the friends that we make
Give shape to our thoughts
And the ways that we take.

What a sad, sad world
If we all were the same,
No new paths to traverse,
No new saints to acclaim.

So God give us grace
To serve you ever well,
But hinder not others
That with you would dwell.

I like this one very much. It flowed beautifully, and we certainly are not all the same, this world needs variety. And it certainly needs God, more so in these troubled days. Sincerely Ernestine
